Oh The Places You’ll Go…

Looking For The Best Take-Out Options While Supporting Local Eateries? Check In Each Week For Our Recommendations!

If there’s one thing that food does, it’s able to transport us to places we never thought we would get to visit through taste. Whether you’re craving Thai, Indian, Mexican, or Southern food I’ve got a list that’ll make your mouth water.

A.K.A. BEEFRRIA-LANDIA

On the corner of 78th street and Roosevelt Ave, Jackson Heights, Queens Call for updated hours and availability: 347-283-2162

I’m a food truck junkie and a lover of all things Mexican food. Mix these two and you’ve got Beefrria-Landia. Known for their birria, Beefrria-Landia serves the most tasteful richly flavored birria the city has to offer. You can have your birria as a taco, tostada, or mulita – crispy tortillas filled with melted cheese and birria; it’s a meal on its own. With pricing between $2-$3, add on a cup of consommé for $2 to dip your taco, tostada, or mulita into before biting… I promise you it’ll leave your tastebuds begging for more. Grab a bite for yourself, deliver some to your friend’s doorstep, and then have a virtual dinner together.

I personally love Sunday in Brooklyn (SIB), not only for its amazingly yummy brunch menu but because it’s also sooooo aesthetically pleasing! With its exposed beams, marble tabletops, and natural light hitting you during the day – it is the perfect, IG-worthy spot… SIB just invites you to come thru – even if it’s not Sunday. When it re-opens, reservations can be made on Resy. Seats book quickly, so plan ahead for a weekend brunch with the girls or a cute date night wit bae. In the meantime, enjoy the delicious menu from the comfort of your own home.

Serving up food for the soul, Southern Comfort is a favorite located in the heart of Bedstuy, Brooklyn. Friendly staff who greet you with a smile, and its warm atmosphere will make you feel as if you’re visiting family. When they re-open, the staff will most likely tell you to expect a long wait for your food, but if you’re patient everything on the menu will leave you satisfied and wanting for more. For now, enjoy all they have to offer via delivery.

Sage Thai

This spot is DOPE. Their lunch/brunch specials are unmatched for the many menu options you can choose from. If you want flavorful food, a cozy but stylish ambience, and a mean mimosa this is your place. Not sure what to get? My friends and I usually order the mixed appetizer, mango salad, crab cake, Panang Chicken, and Northern Thai Basil Chicken to start… because it’s THAT good and we love to share and sample all the goods. The portions are pretty large, so if you’re not a big eater you’ll definitely have some leftovers for later! Click here to order now 🙂

If you want an all you can eat buffet where all the options make you smile, Namaste is the place to go. Found on 5th Ave in Park Slope, Brooklyn it’s a simple restaurant where the food is the focus. If you’re building up a list of places to visit post-quarantine, their outdoor space is perfect spring through fall. Just be careful about eating during your lunch break, the food is so good you’ll barely waddle back to work. But don’t fret! Call to check in about their hours and delivery availability for a tasty treat at home…the best place for a food coma.

SOME HONOURABLE MENTIONS:

IN LIGHT OF CURRENT CIRCUMSTANCES, THE FOLLOWING TWO RESTAURANTS HAVE SHUT DOWN AND DO NOT OFFER DELIVERY IN AN EFFORT TO PROTECT THE WELLBEING OF THEIR STAFF AND NEIGHBORS LIKE YOU! I’D LOVE TO SHARE WHAT I LIKE THE MOST ABOUT THESE RESTAURANTS SO THAT WE CAN SUPPORT THEM THE MINUTE THEY REOPEN!

Blink Thai 756 Grand St, Brooklyn 718-599-1995

I’ve been here so many times, I’ve lost count. From their Tom yum soup to their green curry, you’ll never be disappointed with the flavor. They offer unbeatable prices with a lunch special even on weekends. Their incredibly friendly and attentive staff, and excellent customer service will probably also be the reason you’ll want to visit more than once.

Babu Ji 22 E 13th Street, NY 10003 212-951-1082

Yea… It’s a little on the pricey side for Indian food, but Babu Ji is not your typical Indian joint. Offering food unspeakably rich with flavor, it’s a restaurant you’ll never forget. The Butter chicken, general tso seasoned crispy cauliflower, and chicken tikka are not your typical Indian fare. Perfectly located by Union Square, Babu Ji stands out as the spot to keep the night going. With the coolest art decor and killer playlist rolling thru, make Babu Ji your next place for dinner.
